Week Two - Visiting the Stars

This week we had a special guest from the Mid-Hudson Astronomical Association, Mr. Bill Walsh. He did a slide presentation about constellations and we learned the story of Andromeda, Perseus, and Cassiopeia. You can read about it here: http://chandra.harvard.edu/photo/constellations/andromeda.html

We also learned about Betelgeuse and the constellation Orion and how they are a signal that Winter is here. http://encarta.msn.com/media_1041500275/betelgeuse_in_the_constellation_orion.html

We created our own constellations and stories. You can view them here: http://docs.google.com/Presentation?id=dvrjrvt_6gbjbdwg8
